Keeping The Faith

God always knows how to get our attention. He'll go over and beyond and sometimes he gives us just enough to see how we can manage. I've been going back and forth with a lot of things that I have been so sure about. Working out and my business. I've done both before but never really for me and my personal development. This time is much different. I want to be healthy and fit more so then skinny and fine. Also, I want to be a success to myself and not to a company that will only praise and rave if I do well for them and not when I'm trying my best. Keep praying and moving forward are my mottos to the success in these endeavors.

Well, enough of me rambling. I'll be back soon.

Not Enough Time

Just feel like rambling. We grilled out back yesterday. Hubby did a phenom job! Ate real good. Tried a different style with Zoey's hair. She so hates getting her hair combed:( Took my box braids down while watching CELEBRATION OF GOSPEL. Thought I would be finished in the 2 hrs. Hubby didn't help me take them down:( Stayed up extremely late. Today, my braids are out. Cleaning the house, washing the clothes. Zoey is at daycare and now I'm sleepy. Uggh! I still need to fold the cleaned clothes and make some jewelry. Oh, well. Maybe after I pick up the kid...

Been Gone For A Mintue

Howdy Folks! It's been way too long since I've last blogged. I will admit that my excuses are pretty lame....Well, as you know I had a baby girl who is now a freaking TODDLER and in Daycare part-time. We bought our 1st home. I started my own business named after my sweet daughter, Zoey. www.zoeysbeautybox. My fantastic husband has been deployed and returned. I turned 30 last year. LIFE is being lived, indeed.

I hope that the other social network MONSTERS ( Youtube, Facebook, Twitter and now PINTREST)won't prevent me from blurping on here every now and again. We'll see.

April Showers

I know its been awhile, but finally I got some time to blab about the new things going on. I started a new job back in hotel land 3 weeks ago. I'm Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn. Big change from the days at the Sheraton Birmingham, but wonderful and WHAT A TITLE , huh? In teh last few weeks J and I have traveled to Columbia, South Carolina to getaway and Atlanta to teh Aquarium. Fun stuff! Last but not least, we are expecting our first child together! So happy and excited we are. Also, a bit nervous and anxious. Can't believe that a little human is forming inside of me and its amazing. Thanking God for blessing and allowing us to be so fortunate.

Easter, is approaching and we are staying here in Augusta to get the house cleaned. We want to spruce up before we bring in the baby furniture..Fun! Lately, I'm always sleepy, so what I plan on doing is catching some naps in between and helping the hubs get ready for the newbie!

Next, week we plan on being back in Birmingham, mainly to see the family. Also, I wan to check out a few of my favorite places to eat and bring back treats for my new staff.

Well, I think I've babbled enough. Check ya soon!

5 Great Months

Mr. and Mrs. Windham are officially 5 months into married life. Learning, loving and overcoming. Never thought it would be easy. We knew it would be hard work. However, we are appreciative of all the small things. Like living under the same roof and lawfully. How splendid. I'm getting use to some of the habits J has that I never thought I would and he's getting use to my craziness. It works!

J is currently in school (online) and working and I'm working a part time. The part time gives me a life outside of the home that I can appreicate. We are enjoying our church and cooking more. Occassionally we will step out and see what Augusta has to offer, but for the most part we chill in. Also, we've joined a gym here (Omni) so that we can both stay in shape and healthy.

Now, we are suffering from a bit of cabin fever if you will. So plans to make some little roadtrips are in the making. I love home, but there is nothing like leaving for a bit and learning to appreciate it more.

Well, I'm about to finish dinner. We are having a Potato Bar (bake potatos with options of cheese, bacon bits, sour cream and butter) and a mixed green salad. Yummy.

Take care,
G Windham
